ScanCove is built to keep your financial data private.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing. ScanCove contains no third-party advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking. We do not collect data to track you across other apps or websites.
ScanCove processes the following on your device: the receipt, invoice, and bill images you capture or import; the fields extracted from them (merchant, date, amount, tax, currency, category, payment method) and any notes or edits you add; the reports, templates, and signatures you create; exported PDF and Excel files; and your app preferences and local monthly scan count. This data is created and stored on your device. We do not receive a copy of it.
The information above is used solely to provide the app's features — recognizing receipts, organizing them, generating expense reports, and exporting files. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
Receipt recognition runs on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition and, on supported devices, Apple Intelligence. Your receipt images are processed locally and are not uploaded to ScanCove servers (we operate none). If a future version offers an optional cloud recognition engine, your image would be sent only to perform that single recognition and would not be stored by us; this policy will be updated before any such option is enabled.
By default your data stays only on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your receipts, reports, and images are synced through your own private iCloud account and stored in your iCloud, governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. ScanCove cannot access your iCloud data.
Camera access is used only to scan receipts when you choose to. Photo Library access is used only to import images you select. We access these only at your request and only for these purposes.
ScanCove Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store. Apple processes all payments; we never see or store your payment card details. We receive only your subscription status to unlock Pro features.
Your data remains until you delete it. You can delete individual receipts and reports in the app; deleted items can be removed permanently from Recently Deleted. You can also clear the local image cache in Settings. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; any copies in your iCloud are managed through your Apple account.
Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, you have direct access to view, edit, export, and delete it at any time within the app and through Apple's tools. If you have questions about your data, contact us below.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
